We invite Seattle Against Slavery to share with us the various tactics they’ve used to deter sex buyers in Washington. We will explore the effectiveness of these intervention methods and ways we can improve our own collective response towards ending the demand in Michigan.

Eli Zucker comes to Seattle by way of Michigan, where he has extensive experience as a community organizer in Detroit and metro-Detroit, as well as being an educator at the University of Michigan. Throughout his career, Eli has led immersive efforts to uplift sustainable dialogue across differences, paying special attention to creating dialogues and trainings around race and gender. Now the Director of Men’s Accountability with Seattle Against Slavery, Eli leans on his expansive knowledge of group facilitation to lead the Stopping Sexual Exploitation (SSE) program, which is a 10-week intervention to decrease repeat sex buying by engaging men to understand the construction of their masculinity and, ultimately, to have more healthy, fulfilling relationships in their lives. Eli holds a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Michigan.
