DESCRIPTION:Event Title: Breaking Chains\, Building Change \nWednesday\, January 28\, 2026\, from 6:00 -7:30 p.m. \nFormat: Virtual via Zoom \nDuration: 90 minutes\nLead: Office of Sexual Violence Prevention and Education (OSVPE)\, Wayne State University\nThis collaborative event will bring together Greek sororities\, Zonta International\, and other campus and community partners to move beyond awareness into action in the fight against human trafficking. \n\nPurpose & Objectives \nA conversation to move beyond human trafficking awareness into meaningful action through education\, collaboration\, and survivor-centered advocacy.\n\nObjectives:\n\n\nDeepen understanding of human trafficking through survivor\, advocate\, and student lenses.\n\n\nIncrease participant capacity to recognize\, respond to\, and prevent trafficking.\n\n\nMobilize collective action steps among community organizations and campus partners.\n\n\nHighlight culturally responsive\, survivor-informed approaches to prevention and healing.
