SUMMARY:End Exploitation: An Immersive Experience (Rochester
DESCRIPTION:February 1st\, 2026\n11am-2pm\nSt. Andrew Catholic Church\n1400 Inglewood Ave\,\nRochester\, MI 48307\n*no registration required \n  \nHuman Trafficking is a global human rights issue affecting almost 28 million children\, women and men right now. \nA fact that many do not know though is that ¾ of people being trafficked\, are trafficked for labor. \nOur global industry has created many advancements and opportunities for individuals and communities around the world which we are grateful for. It has also taken transparency out of our supply chains and created pathways for traffickers to easily take advantage of the poor and marginalized in our world and force them to make the products we eat and wear everyday while traffickers profit annually over $236 billion dollars. \nThis is the why behind our project. \nWe want to shed light on Labor Trafficking and bring public awareness to our communities with tangible solutions for them to put into action as soon as they leave. \nThis will be a full body immersive experience. We want people to feel the cotton that is picked\, touch the coffee beans\, eat the chocolate\, hear stories of those who have been exploited\, sit at a sewing machine that could make their shirt. We want to leave a memory not just in minds\, but in bodies and hearts to help each person who walks through the experience to understand that trafficking is happening and we can be a part of the solution. \nJoin us on February 1st between 11am and 2pm to walk through the experience! \nFor questions email: heather@map-mi.org

DESCRIPTION:SOAP Up SW-Michigan\nHotel Outreach Event\nHosted by MAP’s St. Joe Community Group!\nDate and time\nSaturday\, June 3rd\, 2023\n5:00 – 8:00 pm\n\nLocation\nFirst Church – Saint Joseph Campus\n2627 Niles Avenue\, Saint Joseph\, MI\n\n\nDid you know human trafficking is the second leading criminal industry in the United States? The average age of entry into trafficking in the U.S. is only 13 years of age and many survivors of trafficking are not aware of how to get help. Join us to educate hotels on how to spot signs of human trafficking and hand out bars of soap with the national human trafficking hotline number along with missing children posters. 80% of all trafficking occurs at hotels/motels and many victims will see a bar of soap in their room which may be a lifeline to freedom. \nPlease join us to learn about the signs of human trafficking in our community. We will label hotel bar soaps to deliver to select area hotels and deliver critical information and missing children’s posters to hotel staff. \nMust be trained (provided on-site) and at least 16 years of age to attend the outreach with parental permission.
