DESCRIPTION:SEPTEMBER 24\, 2019\nThe Freedom Coalition brings together experienced community advocates in Southeast Michigan\, for a unified and comprehensive approach to address human trafficking through prevention\, awareness\, survivor support\, and specialized training. The Freedom Coalition plans to meet the 4th Tuesday of every other month for the sharing of best practices\, case studies\, education\, and training. These meetings are open to the public\, however\, we do ask for you to become a member if you decide to attend regularly. \nFor the September 24th meeting\, we will be welcoming\nJeffrey Kapuscinski from Common Ground!\nHe will be sharing on Common Ground’s various programs including: the Sober Support Unit (voluntary bridge to substance use services)\, OACIS (walk-in assessment and intervention)\, the CRU (short term voluntary inpatient)\, Mobile Crisis Team\, the Victim’s Assistance Program (intensive case management)\, Free Legal Clinic\, and the 24/7 Resource and Crisis Line. \n  \nA light meal will be provided at 5:30 pm and the meeting will end promptly at 7:30 pm.\nPlease register so we can have an accurate food count. \n \nA suggested donation of $2 is appreciated to cover the cost of food. \n

You will also experience everything from classical to funk performances\, break dancers\, and a song written by All of the Above Hip Hop Academy about human trafficking specifically for this year’s event! This eclectic lineup is designed to raise funding and awareness to help combat sex trafficking in West Michigan.
