MAP will give a brief presentation about human trafficking, and show the movie “Chosen.” Q&A will follow the movie showing. This will be a private presentation taking place within a school. The intended audience includes teen girls that attend Southfield High School.
The Port Huron Community Group meets the 2nd Tuesday of every month (October-April). 2019 dates include: January 8, February 12, March 12, and April 9. MAP will share the movie "Chosen" and facilitate a brief Q&A following the showing. This evening will contain an overview of trafficking in our local communities. The intended audience of this meeting are local parents of middle-high school students.
On national human-trafficking awareness day MAP will be presenting to students at EMU. A brief presentation of human-trafficking, along with a facilitated conversation on the trajectory of culture will take place, followed by a Q&A. Ethically-made items will be available for purchase as well.
MAP will be educating foster care youth (age 14-24) on what trafficking looks like, and how to keep themselves and their friends safe. Presentation by Port Huron Community Group leaders.
